Mac Solution: Transfer/Put/Play Blu-ray movies on Acer Iconia Tab A500 with best HD video quality
I’m going on a trip soon and want to rip movies(mainly blu-ray movies) I own to be played on the Acer A500 I recently purchased. I have a few questions here:
Any suggestions on some easy to use, reliable software?
Any tips for the best format to use when ripping Blu-ray for Acer A500?
As we all knows, there are many programs there that allow us to make copies of our Blu-rays and let you watch them the way you want to view them. Most of you are likely familiar with the excellent Handbrake for ripping standard Def DVDs, but while the latest version of the software has added SOME support for reading Blu-Ray folder structures, it cannot yet decrypt the Blu-Ray discs the way it can with regular DVDs, so you’ll need to add an intermediate step. When it comes to ripping movies off the Blu-ray Discs for playback with the Acer Iconia Tab A500 Tablet, Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper for Mac is about as good as it gets.
Specially designed for Blu-ray video zealots who use Mac OS, the Mac Blu-ray Ripper for Acer A500 Tablet allows you set format settings to get desired file size and quality. And other Blu-ray rippers let you rip Blu-ray only but this one rips both Blu-ray and DVD. Designed for fast speed and negligible video quality loss, this amazing software is your best choice for Blu-ray ripping.
A simple guide of ripping Blu-ray to H.264 MP4 for Acer Iconia Tab A500 playback.
The process is straightforward. Insert the Blu-ray disc, run and load Blu-ray movies to the Blu-ray Ripper for Acer A500, then click “Format” bar and select a MP4 format for the Android Tablet playback. After everything’s set down, click the big “Convert” button to start the conversion from Blu-ray to Acer Iconia Tab A500 MP4.
As a movie fan, I used to rip Blu-ray and DVD movies to PC and WD TV Live players and learned video codecs and settings well. After several conversions and tests I worked out the best format settings for converting Blu-rays to Acer Iconia Tab A500:
Video Codec- H.264
Video Format- .mp4
Video Bitrate – 2500kbps
Frame Rate – 30fps
Audio Codec- AAC
Audio Bitrate- 128kbps
Sample Rate- 44.1khz
Audio Channel- Stereo
It took me a while to find the settings but all turned out fine. The Blu-ray Thor results in a .mp4 file of 1.8GB, and the converted Blu-ray videos plays stunning pictures on my Acer Iconia Tab A500.
Pretty Simple! Now copy the result videos on the Mac to your tablet via USB and experience the converted Blu-ray HD movies on the Acer Iconia Tab A500 Tablet anytime and everywhere.
Have fun! Hope the article helps.
