Put the songs that you want on your Zune into a separate folder from the rest of the songs on the desktop. Zune only checks monitored folders. As long as the songs you don’t want on there are in a different folder they won’t get added to your collection.
When you install the program on the desktop-if you haven’t done so already-select the option during setup that lets you choose the monitored folders later. Set your sync options to manual then go and set up the folders. Make sure to only include the folders that will contain the files you want on your Zune.
I had my Zune synchronized on my laptop, and well…..that’s out of commission right now. I have a desktop which will do for now, but I don’t know how to get the device to sync with the songs I download or burn from my CDs without it grabbing all the songs that are previously on the desktop. Maybe this is an easy solution but I figured I would ask. Thanks.
or Vista: Same thing with Start>Control Panel. (now a little more)- Under Programs you select uninstall a program. Scroll down, select Zune, then next to ‘ Organize / View’, ‘Uninstall’ should pop up. Click it, then bam- it’s gone!
Start > Control Panel > Add or remove programs
Then just select it from the list and uninstall it. This is for XP, if you have Vista it might be different.
It might be possible. But if it is that would involve opening the case. That would void the warranty on the new Zune.
