Frequently Asked Questions

What video formats are supported?
Our tool supports MOV, MP4, and WebM files. Chrome and Firefox handle MP4 and WebM well, while Safari is the best bet for MOV files on your Mac. For smooth results, use the format that suits your browser best.
How many frames can I extract?
In single mode, you get one shot at a specific point. In multiple mode, you can pull up to 30 frames at set intervals. You stay in control of the timing and quantity.
What resolution are the extracted frames?
Frames are saved at the video's full resolution. A standard HD video generates 1920x1080 JPEGs, while 4K footage from your trip to the Great Ocean Road produces 3840x2160 images.
Why does my MOV file not load?
MOV files can use tricky codecs. If your browser can't decode it, the file won't load. Safari is usually reliable for MOV; otherwise, try converting the file to MP4 first. H.264 encoded videos generally work best.
Are my videos safe?
Absolutely. All processing is done locally in your browser using standard web tech. Your videos are never uploaded to our servers or anywhere else.
