Frequently Asked Questions

What video formats are supported?
The tool supports MOV, MP4, and WebM video files. Compatibility depends on your browser — Chrome and Edge support MP4 and WebM well, while Safari has excellent MOV support for iPhone footage.
How many frames can I extract?
In single frame mode, you extract one frame at a specific timestamp. In multiple frames mode, you can extract up to 30 frames at regular intervals. You can fully control the interval and max frames settings.
What resolution are the extracted frames?
Frames are extracted at the full resolution of the video. A 1080p video will produce 1920x1080 JPEG images. A 4K video will produce 3840x2160 images.
Why does my MOV file not load?
MOV files use various codecs. If your browser cannot decode the video codec, the file will not load. Try using Safari for MOV files, or convert the video to MP4 first. H.264 encoded videos have the best browser compatibility.
Are my videos safe?
Yes. All frame extraction happens in your browser using the HTML5 video element and Canvas API. Your videos are never uploaded to any server.
