How does the browser convert AI to PNG?
Most Adobe Illustrator files are saved with a PDF preview embedded. Our tool extracts this data using PDF.js and converts it into a PNG image you can download.
Why is my AI file failing to convert?
If the conversion fails, the file was likely saved without PDF compatibility. Try opening it in Illustrator, going to File > Save As, and ensuring "Create PDF Compatible File" is checked.
What resolution will the PNG be?
We render at 2x scale for quality. An A4 page in Illustrator will generate a PNG around 2480x3508 pixels, perfect for high-DPI displays.
Will complex effects render correctly?
Standard vectors, text, and images look great. Heavy effects like 3D or mesh gradients might look a bit different, as we are rendering the PDF preview, not the raw AI data.
