What is RTL text, and which languages are written right to left?
RTL text is text that reads from right to left, so lines start at the right edge and flow leftward. Major RTL languages include Arabic, Hebrew, Persian (Farsi), Urdu, Pashto, and Divehi. Most other languages — English, Chinese, Russian, and so on — are LTR (left to right). If a document or chat message shows RTL text in the wrong order, paste it into this converter to restore the correct direction.
How do I fix reversed or garbled RTL text online?
Reversed Arabic or Hebrew usually appears when text is copied out of an app that drops direction information: the characters survive, but the renderer treats them as LTR and flips the word order. What is the difference between LTR and RTL text?
LTR (left-to-right) text begins at the left margin and flows right; RTL (right-to-left) text begins at the right margin and flows left. A single paragraph can contain both directions at once — that is bidirectional (bidi) text, which Unicode control characters keep in the right order.
How do I convert Arabic text to display right to left?
